Sustainable living

Unlike most homes, which use a gas boiler for heating, emitting on average 2.3 tonnes of CO2 per year just keeping you warm, your home in the Riverside building will run on carbon-neutral biomass, from sustainably maintained forests.

Hot water for showers, baths, your taps and your radiators will all come from the building’s biomass boiler. You’ll be metered on how much you use, so you’re only charged for what you consume.

You’ll be able to easily keep track of all your heating, water and electricity use via Actuate, our Smart-home app. It lets you control your heating schedules, monitor your home’s temperature and means you can turn off all non-essential appliances when you’re out and about, via the Home & Away switch.
