A new government scheme set to help first time buyers is now accessible at award winning low carbon development Greenhouse in Leeds.
Home to the UK's most sustainable homes and offices, after Citu has been granted funding as a FirstBuy partner.
FirstBuy offers a joint loan of 20% of the property price from the Government and the housebuilder, which means that buyers only need to put down a 5% deposit to qualify for a 75% mortgage.
Citu has been awarded funding for 20 apartments under this scheme, across a selection of 1, 2 and 3 bed sustainable homes in it’s flagship development “Greenhouse”.
FirstBuy is available exclusively to first time buyers and the 20 apartments are available on a first come, first served basis.
One of only a handful of developers to be granted such funds, Citu launched Greenhouse last year with 166 apartments and is now home to a thriving community who have become as committed to the sustainability ethos behind the building as its creators.
With a great record of rental tenants extending their contracts, as well as several tenants having already moved on from renting to buy at the development, Citu is keen to encourage long-term tenure in the building in order to build a thriving community at Greenhouse.
